As the Head of Partnerships & Business Development, you will be a key member of SpreeAI’s senior leadership team, responsible for building and scaling our global partnerships and business development function from the ground up. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role reporting directly to the CEO, where you will set the strategy and vision for partnerships, then execute on it to drive significant revenue and growth. You will lead all partnership initiatives end-to-end – from identifying and negotiating strategic deals with fashion brands, tech platforms, and other key stakeholders, to nurturing these relationships for long-term success. Initially managing a small team of two (with plans to grow), you will foster a culture of excellence and high performance, mentoring your team to achieve ambitious targets. This role demands an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on approach: you are equally comfortable devising strategy in the boardroom and rolling up your sleeves to close deals. Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership Leadership: Develop and execute a global partnerships & business development strategy that aligns with SpreeAI’s mission and growth objectives. Identify high-impact opportunities in the fashion, retail, and tech ecosystems to expand SpreeAI’s reach and revenue.
- Deal Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify, evaluate, and secure strategic partnerships with fashion brands, luxury retailers, e-commerce platforms, technology providers, and other relevant organizations. Lead negotiations and structure deals/contracts that deliver mutual value, leveraging your savvy to secure favorable terms and long-term commitments.
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue and new business opportunities through partnerships. Build a robust pipeline of deals that contribute to user growth, platform adoption, and monetization. Continually explore new revenue streams (e.g. co-branded initiatives, sponsorships, channel partnerships) and innovative partnership models to monetize SpreeAI’s technology.
- Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with partner executives and stakeholders. Serve as the primary liaison for key partners, ensuring successful integration and ongoing collaboration. Maintain a high level of support and communication with partners to foster trust, address issues, and unlock full mutual value.
- Team Building & Leadership: Build and lead the partnerships/BD team from the ground up. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of partnership managers (starting with two direct reports), setting clear goals and high-performance standards. Foster a results-driven, collaborative culture within the team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, etc.) to align partnership initiatives with product roadmaps and marketing campaigns. Ensure that partner integrations and co-developed projects are executed smoothly and deliver the expected outcomes. Act as a bridge between external partners and internal teams to champion partner needs and opportunities.
- Strategy & Planning: As a senior leader, contribute to overall company strategy and share insights on market trends in AI, fashion, and retail. Monitor industry developments and competitor activities to inform partnership strategy and keep SpreeAI ahead of the curve. Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the success of partnerships and business development efforts, and report on progress to the executive team and board.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent SpreeAI as a public-facing ambassador at industry events, conferences, and key meetings. Articulate our vision and value proposition compellingly to build brand awareness and attract potential partners. Leverage SpreeAI’s high-profile mission (and association with industry icons like Naomi Campbell) to strengthen our network and influence in the market.
- Experience: 8–10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or related roles within the fashion, technology, or e-commerce industries. A background that includes time at top-tier tech or fashion companies (e.g. Meta, OpenAI, LVMH or other major fashion houses) is highly desirable.
- Partnership & BD Expertise: Proven track record of building and executing partnership strategies that drive growth. You have personally closed high-value deals and can point to partnerships you’ve managed that significantly boosted revenue, user acquisition, or brand equity.
- Industry Knowledge & Network: Deep understanding of the fashion and/or retail landscape, with insight into how emerging technologies (AI, AR/VR, etc.) are transforming the industry. Existing network of contacts in the fashion and tech world (brands, retailers, platforms, influencers) that you can leverage to jump-start SpreeAI’s partnerships is a strong plus.
- Negotiation & Communication: Exceptional negotiation skills and business acumen – able to craft win-win agreements and navigate complex deal discussions with senior stakeholders. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the polish to represent a high-profile company externally and the clarity to influence internal stakeholders and the board.
- Leadership & Team Management: Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams. You have hired, managed, and mentored high-performing team members. You inspire trust, set clear expectations, and elevate the performance of those around you. Experience establishing a new function or department is a big advantage (you enjoy being a “builder” who can lay down strategy, process, and culture).
- Strategic Thinker & Doer: Big-picture strategic thinking paired with a hands-on, startup mindset. You can develop long-term plans and also roll up your sleeves to execute tactically. Comfortable with the fast pace and ambiguity of a startup environment, you excel at adapting and finding creative solutions to challenges.

- Sales Conversion: Proven track record of reducing sales cycle duration, successfully upselling within existing accounts, and identifying new strategies and business opportunities to expand revenue and market penetration.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or other advanced degree is a plus, but proven experience and results are paramount).
